Five individually created residences in the heart of South Beach from one of Miami Beach’s newest developments: The Five.
Longtime Miami Beach architect Ira Giller is noted for his several award-winning, historic preservation and adaptive reuse projects. He has designed such Miami Beach icons as Ocean Drive’s The Netherland and the Jewish Museum of Florida. To insure fulfillment of his vision and to maintain his quality standards, Ira Giller served as contractor and developer. He now brings you The Five.
The Five throws away the cookie cutter template of new apartments on South Beach to create five original residences based on openness, naturally flowing spaces, and room to live and entertain. It is a unique balance of historic preservation and South Beach modern architecture.
The Five maximizes all the important elements of South Beach design and living. Spacious living rooms and bedrooms are complemented by large windows and 9’ ceilings to take advantage of South Florida’s capacious natural light. Modern, high end materials are used to ensure the safety and comfort of its occupants as well as the durability of the structures. The residences include solid oak floors, frosted glass doors, and cantilevered stairs with oak treads and stainless steel wire railings. Kitchens include stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, cork kitchen floors, and maple cabinets. Bathrooms are full-height marble. And all windows and doors are hurricane impact-resistant.
Each residence features special architectural characteristics, specifically created to evoke the feeling of living in a custom-built home.
Occupying a 1930’s Mediterranean Revival building, Residence One preserves many of the original features including Spanish tile floors, a fireplace, exposed beam wood ceilings, old oak floors and architectural columns. This 1,510 net square foot masterpiece is unlike anything you have seen in South Beach.
Residences Two through Five are each multilevel or split level units ranging from 732 to 1809 square feet. Two of the units feature private rooftop hot tubs under wood trellises on large terraces with views of the Miami Beach skyline and Meridian Avenue’s beautiful magnolia trees. Other design features include a restored exposed wood beam ceiling in the expansive living room, master bath with its own private terrace, and a master bedroom loft.
All residences include on-site parking, washer/dryers, central air conditioning, and private entrances.
